• after the war
The Battle of Hogwarts took place just months ago and with it, the end of Voldemort's second reign of terror. Magical creatures are scarcely found around the United Kingdom and Muggleborns are nearly depleted in numbers. Purebloods are almost just as bad off, as it would seem Halfbloods survived the best in odds.

After much debate with the new Ministry of Magic, new classes have been added and some old ones removed. The school has finally reopened after months of rebuilding, and students will return to hopefully rekindle the magical school to its former glory. Hogwarts will never be the same again, or will it? The new generation of students have arrived. The year 1998 will hopefully be a better year than the past few.

1. With a minimum of 100 words, how would you describe yourself?

I have no sense of embarrassment. You could walk in on me naked or see me right after I fell into a mud puddle and I would be unfazed. Maybe not the best thing to start with. I have also taught myself to be strong. If I do not stay strong and deal with problem then no-one else will. I believe in tough love. The more you do things for people the less they do for themselves. I am a creative girl. I work hard and I am not afraid to get dirty. Well not literally dirty - I am kind of into making sure you look good. However it should not control your life. You should throw yourself into everything you do. Whether it is surfing the waves or enjoying the beach. I believe you should act fearless no matter how scared you are. I also feel that you should always take some time to stop and think, I love to sit on my surfboard and just think.

2. When are you more alert; morning or night?

I like the early mornings. I got use to it being that way. Sneaking out before my parents were up and hitting the beach before the tourists got there. I love the sunshine too. The evening and the night is when the world goes cold. I am never really happy unless its blazing heat.

3. Would you consider yourself as a quiet, calm person or an active person?

I am a chatty, active, energetic person. Even when I am sitting calmly or doing a task methodically I am usually chatting away, and waving my arms to emphasis my point. As my party days will attest to, I have a ton of energy.

4. What were you like as a child and teen?

I was a nightmare. I was fearless and fond of sneaking out the house and down to the beach. I was get into anything and everything. Then the moment I hit mid-teens I was all about parties, boys and drinking more than anyone should let alone a teenager. I made a lost of mistake. Made things hell for my parents. I was just one downwards spiral to be honest. It was not until I got to sixteen/seventeen I even got along with my parents enough that they stopped trying to buy my love - despite the fact they were not that rich. I got along with people and had my firm friends. I just did not do well with authority. I cannot believe how life was like before I turned it all around for myself. My parents were amazingly accepting. They had their own issues though.

5. What is your idea of a dream job here at Hogwarts? What would you do in that job? How much would you make? (Be very specific and detailed here)

5000 gallons a year. That seems a nice round number. I have a daughter so I have to be able to support her. Husband or not I hate asking Angel for money. I want to be able to give my daughter everything. But enough about the money. On to the job. I want to be Home Economics professor. Now from my researching Home economics is - interior design, home furnishing, cleaning, handicrafts, sewing, clothing and textiles, commercial cooking, cooking, nutrition, food preservation, hygiene and child development. Basically teaching students how to properly run a family environment and make the world a better place for generations to come. That sounds cliche but what would be better than showing students a little bit of magic can make running a house fun.

Now onto why Home Economics Professor would be my dream job. It seems to me it is the perfect mix of muggle and wizarding worlds. Furthermore it shows people they can be independent, do things for themselves. They do not have to rely on parents or house elves or anyone else for everything in life. They need to be shown that looking after the house, themselves and maybe one day their children is completely worthwhile. Plus you never know when these kind of spells might come in handy. Everyday spells can sometimes be far more helpful than more complex spells in certain situations. The Home Economics at Hogwarts would be more suited to focusing on spells for cooking, mending and cleaning. Therefore the class will be introduced to spells, given chances to perform them under supervised conditions and then tested on the different ways in which these spells can be used. This would be in an environment which should be fun, involve lots of practical and a place of learning. Students should not be mothered. They should be protected to a certain extent but they should also be pushed out their comfort zones and allowed to tackle what they did not before.

6. You're stranded on an island with no magical or muggle means to get out; what do you do?

Well I suppose my first thought would be why on earth am I on an Island? However step two would be to work out what there is to eat. On Spanish Sunday's I have a seven course meal with extra pudding. I need my food. So when I have stock piled anything that looks edible the next plan would be shelter. I remember reading on a book once that if you find some kind of raised platform it is safer. So build the shelter up high and out of wood. I used to have a business making things out of wood and leather. So making a pent house tree house should not be too hard. Then bring all the food up to my delux tree house, settle with my feet up and wait to be rescued. As long as some of the food as enough juice - fruits and the like - the drinking should be covered. If not the location of a stream or some form of water would be necessary. To be stored within the delux tree house in some kind of bucket, home made. Though it does not say magic cannot be used, just that it cannot be used to leave the Island. So considering magic cannot be used to produce food or water, without them already existing in the location, it could be used to improve the delux tree house. However if magic is not allowed at all then just the first part.

7. Would you ever consider putting your life on the line for your work?

I have come to value my life a lot more since the war. I was genuinely scared. I also had to think of my daughter. She needs both parents. So it made me think twice about risking my life. Except I would do anything to keep a job I truly loved ... long story short, yes I would.

8. What do you think of the Battle of Hogwarts and the history of Voldemort's second reign?

I lost the best friend I ever had. I then had to be strong about her death despite the fact it was horrible. I had to deal with being terrified for my life. To hear I was being accused of stealing magic. To feel that any moment now my life could be over. I had a daughter who was not even a year old. A husband who was not even trying to cope and a family who had no idea what was happening. I still wake up at night screaming, which I am sure my husband is not thrilled about. I don't think life will ever be the same after what happened during that war ... I just ... I do not want to talk about it.

9. What do you think of students?

Well that is a loaded questions. Students are just people. Small people without a clue who need to be molded into the future of the wizarding and muggle world. They deserve to be treated with respect. However they should also be expect to behave as good, honest and reliable members of society just like everyone else. Only we can prevent another dark lord by nurturing and protecting the young and guiding them down the right path.

10. What subject at Hogwarts is your favorite?

Muggle studies. Ironic considering I was in fact a muggle-born. I just wanted to learn about the muggle world through the point of view of a wizard. I did not have home economics when I was at Hogwarts. However I am pretty sure considering my fasination with both charms and muggle studies it would have been my favourite.

You have been hired as the HOME MAGIC AND MUGGLE ECONOMICS professor. Now you're a few steps away from finally being able to be the wizard/witch you were supposed to be. All you have to do is complete the following and you're good to go:
