• after the war
The Battle of Hogwarts took place just months ago and with it, the end of Voldemort's second reign of terror. Magical creatures are scarcely found around the United Kingdom and Muggleborns are nearly depleted in numbers. Purebloods are almost just as bad off, as it would seem Halfbloods survived the best in odds.

After much debate with the new Ministry of Magic, new classes have been added and some old ones removed. The school has finally reopened after months of rebuilding, and students will return to hopefully rekindle the magical school to its former glory. Hogwarts will never be the same again, or will it? The new generation of students have arrived. The year 1998 will hopefully be a better year than the past few.

RESUME

1. With a minimum of 100 words, how would you describe yourself?

I would describe myself as....I suppose cheerful is the word for it. I like to smile and laugh, and I feel everything important should be taught in a way people can enjoy. That way the lesson sticks with them! I guess you could also call me focused. I often want to get things done, and once I set my mind to them they get finished; you'd be hard pressed to find something I've started and not finished. I want to protect people too, I always have wanted to keep people safe. 'Protective' is a word that would apply to me, then. I want to do right by others and keep our Wizarding World safe and happy.

2. When are you more alert; morning or night?

I prefer the morning - the break of dawn of a new day is beautiful, and the earlier I rise, the more I can accomplish with my day. Besides, there's nothing like a brisk walk before breakfast~

3. Would you consider yourself as a quiet, calm person or an active person?

Well, see, you must understand that people are both. I am focused and calm, active and yet not. I suppose if I had to be one, though, I'd choose active. Even though I cannot run about as I used to, I am always active, even if it's just keeping my mind moving.

4. What were you like as a child and teen?

I was very cheerful then, I remember many smiles and laughter. I also remember taking many courses and always trying to stand up against any bullying I saw, not that there was a lot. I was very protective even then - no one could mess with my sister or friends! Haha....I knew I wanted to help people, so school and my teens were really...me wanting to find a way to do that, I suppose. I had to figure out my goal so I could work towards it. Once I decided to be an Auror, I set my eyes on the prize and just worked as hard as I could.

5. What is your idea of a dream job here at Hogwarts? What would you do in that job? How much would you make? (Be very specific and detailed here)

I want to teach students to protect themselves. The Defense Against the Dark Arts has been a little lacking some years, and I know the position is in flux often; I would like to offer my services as a stable professor and help students to learn to protect themselves and those they love. I would love to advise students where I can, help talent and skill to grow, and teach the next generation to flourish and defend themselves. I would like to revitalize the Defense Against the Dark Arts Club that was started years ago but never used again, and make it a true place to study and grow; I'd also like to keep my office open and offer my help where I can (though I must admit, Herbology was never my forte, I still must read up on it to stay up to date in my skills!). As for pay, I suppose it must be a livable amount, but I'm not too finicky. Room and board, and some pay on the side, but it needn't be too much.

6. You're stranded on an island with no magical or muggle means to get out; what do you do?

Well first I would build a shelter and keep myself safe, then collect food and fresh water, ascertaining that I could keep myself alive. Then I would set to work setting up some sort of signal or message to try to reach any passerby - did you know Muggles often have flying machines now? Perhaps I could get the planes' attention, or something of the sort.

7. Would you ever consider putting your life on the line for your work?

Of course. I would never allow my students to come to harm, especially not in my classroom. I want to protect people. That includes those I work with in this job, be it my students, my fellow staff, or others within our time.

8. What do you think of the Battle of Hogwarts and the history of Voldemort's second reign?

I did what I could to fight it, though I know one man could not do as much as I wished I could. I have never supported what happened, and the lives cost in that era were staggering, but it was needed; it was time for the reign of Voldemort to end, and I only wish I had been able to fight alongside the students and teachers here. The Battle of Hogwarts was a great effort that only showed the love the prior professors and staff had for their students; it is this love for our students we must carry into the new age. In this new era, we must recover and rebuild. And we must educate our students so that they will not make mistakes we have already made, but instead excel beyond our past.

9. What do you think of students?

They are children, first and foremost; we must remember that. They are children who are coming to learn and understand this great Wizarding World, and we must guide them. We as teachers must help them to grow and learn, and to flourish in their own talents. Everyone has a talent that we as teachers should help to find and hone. It takes all wizards and witches to make a community, and our community is growing and thriving now. We must always put our students before ourselves, but remember when to scold and when to punish, for that too can teach, though the lesson depends on how it is portrayed. And finally, we can learn from our students, if we only take the time to listen and allow our minds to be open.

10. What subject at Hogwarts is your favorite?

Well, Defense Against the Dark Arts of course~ Though I did enjoy Charms and Transfiguration. I always wished to be an Animagi. Perhaps my next challenge to take on?
